I have recently been doing separate conversions on a number of recordings and was wondering if there is any possibility of being able to select more than one item at a time for copying?

Yes, it's possible. Just add all needed .avi files to the list.
But you can not adjust convertion parameters individually for each file.

Apologies for not making this clearer but I meant copying selected groups of converted files to the Tomtom rather than having to do file separately.

No at this moment it's not possible. But I think that it's a good idea for Idea Box...
just use windows explorer to copy the files there
from
<Installed drive>:\Program Files\TomTom Media Center\Video
to
<TT drive>:\Video
I simply made a .bat file in the media center video directory with just 1 line:
xcopy *.avi n:\Video\
where n: is my TT drive
