First of all i'd like to say hi to the forum, it seems a little quiet in here but that could be a good or bad thing laugh.gif .

Great program and i like the performance i get from both encoder and player.

Couple of things i'd like to see though.

1. Would it be possible to have a user configurable time jump when you press fast forward or rewind. ideally i'd like to have fast forward have a setting of about 30 seconds and rewind maybe 10 seconds. But being able to set this to whatever i like would be great.

2. I notice from the user manual PDF that it says selecting CROP can also enlarge a video that doesn't fully fit the screen on the 910. I've tried this option on some music video's i have that are smaller than the 910 screen size, but the video still remains at its original size and wont fill the screen. Maybe its something i'm doing wrong or maybe i misunderstood what i read.

3. I see the thread about the tomtom rebooting on exit from Mobilnova has been locked, this is probably because you are working on the bug, but i just wanted to add that i'm seeing this problem too.

Once again great product and thanks for your time.

Andy.

Hey AndyDigital (we have something in common...lol),

It is pretty quite in here. I guess a lot of happy customers hehe.

Anyway, regarding your rebooting on exit, I have an open dialogue with the admin found here - http://mobilnova.3.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=124

Maybe you can try the debug files the Admin gave me and post your results as well.

Ok mate done. I've replied in the other thread and emailed my logs via the main website.

Fast forward and rewind are now set to 30s. they are configurable, edit Media/etc/mplayer/ts.conf file. You will see there seek_30 or seek_-30 commands. They define the time to skip for forward and rewind. You can experiment with those values

Please send me video sample via an ftp or http server, I'll have a look

Ok I've been looking at the video dimensions before and after the conversion. The music videos in question are WMV (i noticed the limited support pop up). Before conversion the video is 480x360 so its not actually smaller than the screen size, its slightly bigger. But when the converted video is played on the 910 it has a thick black box all the way round. This is true with or without CROP ticked.

I'm going to upload the raw video unconverted and also the converted file to some webspace and i will then email you a link. The converted file is only the first 90 seconds just as a -*test*-('").

Edit: You have mail rolleyes.gif

black bars are OK without crop. With crop, they should be less but with this size you will probably still ahve them
